Pamela Colleen Hitt, age 62, of Venice, Florida passed away on November 6th, 2015. She was born in Berea, Ohio on July 29th, 1953. She had made Venice, FL her home since 2004. She was a luminous presence, always exuberant and generous, who touched the lives of all who knew her. She was an active, beloved member of Unity Church of Venice, serving in many capacities, a mentor with the Big Brothers Big Sisters, and a well known real estate professional, working most recently with REMAX in Venice. She is survived by her two daughters Amber and Rachel Vistein, her mother Norma J (Cochran) Hitt, her father, Richard E Hitt, brother Richard E Hitt, Jr, brother, Gregory V Hitt, sister Karen A Hitt, and brother Robert J Hitt. Pam was the oldest daughter of Dick and Jean and spent a lifetime helping others. She grew up in Columbus, OH and attended Brookhaven High School, class of '71. Pam attended Ohio State University and worked in the Columbus science and technology community for many years before moving her family to Tallahassee, then Tampa, and finally Venice, FL. She will be deeply missed by her many, many friends, a large and loving family, and the community she loved and served so faithfully. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Unity Church of Venice, 125 North Jackson Road, Venice, FL 34292 at 4:30 Monday, November 9th and is open to all who wish to attend. There will be a potluck reception at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to the Venice chapter of the Big Brothers Big Sisters and GiveDirectly.org.
