Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: No one comes to the Father except through me". John 14:6 Patricia "Jeannie" Craft Castine was born on October 13th, 1946, to the late Lonnie L. Craft Sr. and loving mother Frances Hammond Craft. She entered into the arms of the Lord and Savior on September 19th, 2017. Jeannie graduated from Dreher High School in 1964 and received her Nursing Degree in 1970. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for a pharmaceutical company, several local physicians, and spent the majority of her years at Columbia Cardiovascular Clinic. Jeannie was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church since the young age of 9. She served as the Sunday School Coordinator, VBS Director and teacher, Youth leader, and joyfully sang in the choir. She was involved in many different roles throughout her Christian walk that will continue to touch the lives of others. Her passion for her Lord and His church was a priority in her life. Jeannie is survived by her devoted husband, Joel "Rusty" Castine. Married 55 years, Rusty was committed to his wife and lovingly cared for her, never leaving her side during her time of illness. They were blessed with two loving daughters, Pamela Castine Wegrzyn (Stephen) and Sherri Castine Anderson (Gene); 5 grandchildren, Nicolaus Wegrzyn, Cameron Wegrzyn, Alli Wegrzyn, Zachary Anderson, and Gabbi Anderson; brother, Lonnie "Bud" Craft, Jr. (Linda); sisters, Jessie "Bootsie" Gleaton (Mickey) and Melody Hill (Jody); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Frances Craft Matthews and Vivian "Tina" Craft Strugeon; and nephew, Jeffrey Sturgeon. The family is assured today of her dwelling place in Heaven and pray that all reading this would possess the same hope in Jesus Christ. She was a dedicated Christian lady who spent her life serving others and was a true inspiration to her family, friends and co-workers. Jeannie's favorite Bible verse, which she meditated on daily and shared with others, was "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

Greenlawn Memorial Park

Greenlawn Memorial Park

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
