Patricia M. Wagner, 60, of Monument, Co. died June 21, 2014. Pat was a third grade teacher at Monument Academy in Monument, Co. until her illness forced her to resign in 2009. She bravely fought breast cancer for five years when it returned after a twenty year absence. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Richard B. Wagner, two sons, Jeffrey George Wagner currently serving in the United States Navy in Guam aboard the submarine USS Oklahoma City, Ryan James Wagner of Monument, Co, mother Harriet Green of Aurora, Co., brother Peter Green of Aurora, Co. and sister Sharon Shepperd of Ringoes, N.J. Patsy (as she was fondly called by family and friends) grew up near the shore in New Jersey where she loved spending time at the beach and strolling the boardwalks. She graduated from Mater Dei High School in Middletown, N.J. in 1972 and received a B.A. from Jersey City State College in 1976. She moved to Colorado in 1980 to join her brother and met her future husband Rick in 1981 at Lewan and Associates where they were both employed. She returned to teaching after the birth of her second son Ryan. Pat loved to snow ski and go four wheeling in the beautiful mountains of Colorado but most of all she loved being a teacher, a wife, and a mother to her sons. Her beautiful spirit will be missed.
