Patrick Brenn Naughton
December 5th, 1937 - July 17th, 2021
Patrick Frank Brenn Naughton (83) was born on December 5, 1937 in Brighton, New York and passed away on July 17, 2021 in Mesa, Arizona. He grew up in Rochester, New York. Pat joined the Air Force on February 14, 1956. He worked on the bomb navigation system for the B-47 bombers and later on the Atlas and Minute Man missiles. Pat met Judy Young on a blind date in September 1961. After a fun courtship they were married on August, 18, 1962. He retired from the Air Force on February 28, 1976. Afterwards, Pat, Judy, and their four children moved to Grand Junction, Colorado where he worked in the oil field, fabricating equipment and managing parts. The family moved to Mesa, Arizona in November 1985. He and Judy then spent many years in real estate. Pat loved fishing, working on cars, fiddling with electronics and all the accompanying gadgets, and shopping at pawn shops with his children and grandchildren. Pat’s greatest joy was his family, which consisted not just of relatives but anyone else who came through his door. He always said, “If you leave my house hungry, it’s your own fault.” He was proceeded in death by his parents Edward and Iva Couch Naughton, his brother Edward Naughton, his sister Mary Alice McWilliams, and his daughter Kelly Brunell. He is survived by his beloved wife Judy; his children Karen (Ken) Cole, Dean (Kirsten) Naughton, and Ryan (Risa) Naughton; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother Richard McWilliams; sister Georgiana (Richard) Sutton; and sister Darlene Dunn-Laffredo. Pat’s memorial service will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 10:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3920 E. Brown Rd. in Mesa. It will also be streamed on Zoom: https://zoom.us/j/94496287768?pwd=T1h1dUN2RmhTWjQzeVBSY1ZpSDVCZz09
