Paul "Sonny" Carl Castaneda

Paul "Sonny" Carl Castaneda went to be with our Lord on July 25, 2021. He was born in Denver, Colorado on June 30, 1945 to Santos Castaneda and Margaret Hernandez. He is preceded in death by his parents Santos and Margaret; granddaughter LeAnn Medina Najera; siblings Rudy, Adam, and David Castaneda; brother in law John Mestas; and mother in law Rachel Trujillo. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Mary Catherine Castaneda; children Darlene Baca, Paul "Sonny" Castaneda Jr., Monte Castaneda, Benita Castaneda, and Desiree (Alfred Lujan) Castaneda; siblings Barbara, Natalie, and Vangie; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. Sonny loved to play the guitar, music, boxing, wrestling, football, and spending time with the grandchildren. His family described him as very loving, kind, respectful, with a great sense of humor.
