Paul R. Larson, a long time resident of Colorado Springs passed from this world into his heavenly Father’s arms on May 17th 2019 at his home at the age of 67. Born in Sacramento, CA in 1952, he was adopted as a days old infant by loving parents Elmer Oscar Larson & Marian (Larson) Thompson. Paul grew up in a Lutheran family and was an avid runner during his high school years. After high school, where he excelled in running track and cross country races, he attended California Lutheran Bible School. It was there that he met Roxanne Mattson, whom he subsequently married in 1972. Paul enlisted into the US Air Force in 1971 and spent his first 5 years as a pneudraulic aircraft maintenance engineer focusing on F-115 jets, including a year-long remote tour in Thailand (Udorn and Korat). His following 15 years were spent in the IT field and performed various programming, testing and operation duties on computer systems for the Air Force. His domestic posts included stays in Mt. Home ID, Las Vegas NV, Langley VA, and Colorado Springs CO. Paul was honorably discharged in 1991 after 20 years of service, and after his retirement he continued in IT roles at CIG, MCI, Galileo, and Visa.
