Paul Alexander Myers, Jr., age 83, of Venice, FL died on August 9, 2011. He was born in York, PA on July 14, 1928, and moved to Venice 27 years ago, where he started a pool business. Paul retired from the US Marines as a Captain. He served our country for over 28 years and toured the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Paul was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shiners, where he served as an all-American judge. He was also a member of the American Legion and VFW. Paul enjoyed working with Mote Marine on Turtle Patrol for over 20 years on Venice Beach. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rafaela Hiffmeyer Myers of Venice; sister Dorothy Lehman of York, PA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Myers, Sr. and wife Myrtle; and sister Carolyn Berkheimer.
