Paula Salcido

Paula Salcido passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017, she will be forever missed and her memory will live on through her family. Paula was born on March 05,1932 in Socorro, TX. She was the daughter of Bacilio and Manuela Martinez and is 9 of 10 children. While growing up in Bakersfield, Paula met Jose De La Luz and have been with each other for 65 years. Over the years their family grew into 4 children including Linda, Ernie, Louie, and Mike. Siblings are Ofelia (aka Fellie), Joe, Ramona (aka Mona), Mike, Frank, Antonia (aka Tonia), Virginia, Angela (aka Angie), and Felix (aka Sonny). In addition to her children, she was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren. Paula devoted her life as a homemaker spending all her time with her husband, family, and friends. Paula loved to spend her summer months up north in Show Low, AZ. watching her husband ploy the backyard with the tractor planting of crops, like corn, squash, and cucumbers to name a few. Paula also loved to crochet making beautiful blankets and booties for family and friends. Finally, Paula loved to dance, and if she could go to every family occasion to be with family and dance the night away with her husband, she would! Paula's journey will come to an end on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Meldrum Mortuary located on 52 N. Macdonald, Mesa, AZ. 85201. Interment will take place following cremation at City of Mesa Cemetery.
