Paula Marie Thompson, 65, died February 22, 2019 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She was born June 18, 1953 to Lonnie Eugene Darnell and Charnelsey Pauline Marie Schanda in St. Louis, Missouri.Paula was a resident of Colorado Springs for twenty-eight years, originally from Fredericktown, Missouri. She was a very giving person who dearly loved her family, friends, and her dog, Princess. She formerly volunteered at the local puppy mill rescue.She is preceded in death by her father, Mr. Lonnie E. Darnell.Paula is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Hinkle) Thompson; son, Travis Hinkle; grandchildren, Alexander Hinkle, Amanda Hinkle and Elijah Hinkle; great-grandchild, Brycin Barton; mother, Charnelsey (Schanda) Darnell; brothers, Ronnie and Mike Darnell; sister, Edna (Darnell) Miller; and nieces and nephews, Chad Darnell, Nichole (Darnell) Lee, Justin Bacon, Jared Darnell and Sarah (Darnell) Garcia.Visitation, 11:00AM-1:00PM, Memorial Service, 1:00PM, Saturday, April 20, 2019, Follis and Sons Funeral Home, 700 Madison Plaza Drive, Fredericktown, Missouri 63645.
