Phyllis Ann Johnson, 89, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away September 17, 2020. She was born on May 11, 1931 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Charles G. Neil and Esta (Peggy ) Neil. Phyllis, a humble child of God was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a loyal friend. She was a former Pink Lady volunteer at Richland Memorial Hospital and at one time was part owner of a Personnel Agency. Phyllis loved the color red and red roses were her favorite. Phyllis is survived by her daughters: Julie Price Varn, Jennifer Price Ford(Bill), and Terry Jean Price Blum; grandchildren: William "B.J." L. Ford, Jr (Amy), Brian Michael Ford (Jessica), James Douglas Blum, Tommy Eugene Blum, Kristy Lea Blum, and Aleena Ann Blum and 11 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Billy Burke Neil; her sister, Betty Jo Neil and great-grandchildren, Emily Rae Blum and Peyton Riley Ford. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 4 pm at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years.
