Pierre Paul Gallean, age 60, of Nokomis, died on July 18, 2007. He was born on May 29, 1947 in Paris, France, and moved to Nokomis in 2000 after living in La Rochelle, France and Hudson, New York. He was a shoe repair store owner in France and New York, and he was also a real estate investor. Pierre loved sailing and was passionate about civil war history. He was a member of the Catholic Faith. He is survived by his wife, Marie-France Gallean of Nokomis, daughters Virginie Guiloux and husband Regis of Venice, sons Christophe and wife Karine of Paris, and Fabrice and wife Paula of Hudson, NY, daughter Sophie Gallean of Lyon, France; sister Micheline Gallean of France; and 8 grandchildren: Jean-Baptiste, Ninon, Audrey, Jeremy, Alexis, Thomas, Emeric, and Lucas. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, July 20th at 1 PM at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. Burial will follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations can be made to Venice Regional Medical Center.
