Quinton Harrison Reeder, 96, of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away January 13, 2018 at his home in Lexington. He was born on December 10, 1921 in Lake City, South Carolina, to Joseph Curran and Violet Prosser Reeder Tanner. Mr. Reeder is a WWII Army Veteran having served in the South Pacific. He retired as a bus driver from Greyhound after 40 years of service. Quinton was a longtime member of Oakwood Baptist Church. Quinton is survived by his Daughters, Sharron Bates and Judy Reeder; Sons, Rand Reeder and Russell Reeder (Terri); and Sister, Charlotte Corley. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jason, Jamie and Christopher Reeder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Marsh Reeder; Brothers, George Reeder, Charles Tanner and James Tanner; and Sisters, Sarah Fallaw, Marianna McKinnon and Elizabeth Dailey. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home, Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Oakwood Baptist Church in Lexington. Interment will be in Woodridge Memorial Park following services. Memorials may be made to Oakwood Baptist Church Building Fund, 3540 Mineral Springs Road, Lexington, SC 29073.
