Ralph W. “Woody” Jennings, 79, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Norfolk, Connecticut passed away March 12, 2011. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, two daughters, and three grandsons. Memorial Services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Venice Presbyterian Church, 111 E. Firenze Avenue, Venice. Ralph Woody Jennings died Saturday morning, March 12th at his home in Venice, Florida with his wife by his side. He was born in Pensacola, Florida and lived in Connecticut while working in New York City, returning to Florida at retirement. Woody served in the US Navy during the Korean War, and was a member of Venice Presbyterian Church. He was a music lover and an avid golfer who enjoyed playing weekly with his many buddies. He loved making people laugh, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, 425 E. 67th Street, New York, NY 10021 or Venice Presbyterian Church, 111 E.
