A graveside service celebrating the life of Ray Martin Teems (Lt. Col. United States Air Force, Ret.), 85, of Columbia will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 in Greenlawn Memorial Park with Chaplain Tom McCort officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one?s choice in Ray?s memory. On-line condolences may be sent to www.greenlawn-columbia.com. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Lt. Col. Teems departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 8, 2012. He was born in Watauga County, North Carolina. Lt. Col. Teems retired from the United States Air Force after 30 plus years of dedicated service to our country. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Juanita Greer Teems; two daughters, Judy Quarles and her husband, John, and Carolyn Warner and her husband, Lance; two grandchildren, Wendy Herring and her husband, Todd, and John Quarles, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Kristopher Quarles and Hunter Herring; two sisters and two brothers; a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families.
