Raymond "Ray" Dominguez

Raymond (Ray) Dominguez died unexpectedly in Mesa, Arizona on July 1,2021 at the age of 65. Ray is survived by his siblings, Alvino Dominguez, Velia Landin, Manuel Dominguez, Yolanda Lopez, Rosalinda Velasquez, and Joe Dominguez. He is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Dominguez, mother, Esperanza Dominguez, siblings, Salvador Dominguez, Fernando Dominguez, Carlos Dominguez, and Ismael Dominguez. Ray was born on March 4, 1956, in Mesa, AZ to Manuel and Esperanza Dominguez. He graduated from Mesa High School in 1974. Ray remained the most eligible bachelor for his eccentrically lived life. Not having any children of his own, Ray treated his many nieces and nephews like his own children by mentoring and sharing his experiences, love of history, and pop culture. Ray was a man of many talents; he had many jobs throughout his life, but his priority remained his family. Ray was the primary best friend and caretaker of his mother for the latter decades of her life, extending her life and happiness for many years, far exceeding all expectations. Ray was our very own national man of mystery, as he often traveled for days and weeks at a time, enjoying time spent with loved ones and friends. Ray was an extremely selfless and kindhearted soul, one who embraced his youth, well into his 60's. Ray cherished the simple pleasures in life; he chose to walk or ride a bike his entire life, refusing to conform to the masses and buy a car. A few of Ray's many passions included fashion, music, desserts and art; all of which he shared with his family. A funeral service is scheduled for July 14, 2021, at Meldrum Mortuary & Crematory, with a reception to follow a few days later at his favorite nephew's house. Deacon Richard Areyzaga will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Raymond Dominguez's life.
