Reid Nolan Peterson, 36 of Brookston died in St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth on Thursday, December 28, 2006 from injuries he sustained in an accident. He was born January 21, 1970 in Duluth to Dick and Evelyn Peterson. He graduated from Albrook High School and later attended Itasca Community College. Reid lived in Fargo for a short time before moving to Minneapolis where he worked with his father. He was currently employed at Wilton Construction in Brookston. Reid was preceded in death by his father, Dick Peterson; a brother, Timmy; and his grandparents, Helmer and Eva Peterson and Tom and Olga Wilton. Reid was a loving father, son, brother and uncle and will be sadly missed by his mother, Evelyn; his daughter, Cassie and her mother, Tonia; his son, Cole and his mother, Jen; sisters, Diane (John) and Kristin; brothers, Rick (Carol) and Ryan; and many other relatives and friends. The family very generously gave the gift of life by donating Reid's organs. They hope the many people who received his organs will have a long and happy life. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors of the neuro-trauma unit at St. Mary's Medical Center for their compassion and tender care. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brookston. Inurnment was in Arrowhead Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home in Cloquet.
