Rene (Ray) J. Brunette, 81, of North Port, died June 22, 2011. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Marie J. Brunette. Ray was born July 24, 1929 in Manchester, NH to Yvonne (Heneault) and Oscar Brunette. Ray attended Gulf Coast Assembly of God in North Port. He was preceded in death by his brothers George Roberts, Willie Brunette and sister, Jeannette Cushing. Survivors also include his son Ronald Gerard Brunette and wife, Christine A. Brunette and daughter, Jacqueline Darmofalski and husband, Alan Darmofalski; grandson, Eric Prindle, granddaughter, Dana Prindle, great grandson, Aiden Prindle; brother, Leopold Brunette and sister, Dorothy Loughlin as well as many nieces and nephews. Ray enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and his great grandson.
