Richard M. Bannin, Jr., age 69, of North Port, FL, died on October 13, 2016. He was born in Glens Falls, NY on June 15, 1947. Richard worked for Warren County, NY as a Data Processing Manager, retiring after 30 years. He and his wife Ellen came to North Port from Lake George, NY in 2003. In Florida, Richard worked part time at the Lemon Bay Golf Course. Richard was a military veteran, serving in the US Air Force. He was a NY Giants fan, and he enjoyed playing golf, taking cruises, and his dogs. Surviving family members include his wife, Ellen, of North Port; sisters Diana Palmer of North Port and Kim Ferguson of Ballston Spa, NY; father and mother in law William and Mary Green of North Port; brothers in law Jim, Dan, and John Crawford; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and one great niece. A celebration of Richard's life will be held in the spring of 2017. Memorial donations may be directed to Tidewell Hospice or a local Humane Society. Farley Funeral Home, North Port Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
