Richard Christensen
March 14th, 1957 - November 17th, 2013
After Glow I’d like the memory of me To be a happy one. I’d like to leave an afterglow Of smiles when life is done. I’d like to leave an echo Whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times And bright and sunny days I’d like the tears Of those who grieve, To dry before the sun Of happy memories that I leave When life is done. – Carol Mirkel Rick was born March 14th, 1957 to Chris and Jan Christensen in Storm Lake, Iowa. When Rick was eight years old, his family moved to Aurora, Colorado. In 1976 Rick enlisted with the US Navy. While in the Navy, Rick married his sweetheart from back home in 1977, Vicki Wachob. After six years of service, Rick elected to leave in order to spend more time with his family. Rick and Vicki lived in Aurora until 2001, and from that time to the present they resided on the plains of Colorado in Deer Trail. Rick had many talents and hobbies. He enjoyed music, computers, and motorcycles. He was also very handy with tools. Around the house he built a deck, shed, motorcycle trailer, and also remodeled parts of the house. He was known for his great sense of humor and will be missed by all. Survived by wife Vicki, parents-in-law Jack and Karen Wachob, sister-in-law Cheryl (Ed), Brother-in-law Jeff (Susan), Aunts Josie(Dean) Jeannie, Uncles Walt, Arnold(Delores), Nephew Joel and Nieces Sloane, Chloe and Elyse, Cousins Derek (Lori) Keri (Jason) Todd (Melissa) Julie, Mark, Roberta Tina (Jeff), Julius.
