Richard (Dick) Eugene Corcoran, 83, of Bailey, CO passed away on Thursday, July 17th, 2015 at home surrounded by his wife and children, following a visit with all of his grandchildren. Richard was born to Clarence and Evelena Corcoran on January 7th, 1932 in New York City. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Roberta Musson Corcoran; son, Craig Corcoran of Gilbertsville, NY; daughters Jennifer Johnen (Dean) of Golden, CO, April Keiley Shreeve (Randy) of Littleton, CO; grandchildren Alicia Corcoran Talbot (Steve), Samuel Corcoran (Kendra), Daryn Keiley, Hayden Keiley, Connor Johnen, Alison Johnen and great grand-daughter Aili Bialkowksi. After graduating from Yonkers, NY High School, Richard enlisted in the US Air Force and served honorably for four years. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master’s Degree in Business Management from West Coast University. His entire professional career was in the field of Aerospace Engineering and worked at Bendix Corp, Litton Data Systems, Bunker Ramo, TRW, Hughes Aircraft and retired from Lockheed Martin in 1999. Richard enjoyed: family celebrations, the outdoors, winters in Benson, Arizona with his beloved wife, camping, hiking, his two English Springer Spaniels (both named Bronco), reading both history and non-fiction and his time as a volunteer firefighter in Bailey, CO. He was an avid Colorado sports fan and was a 20 year season ticket holder to the Air Force Falcons football team. He also served as an Elder in the Presbyterian Church in California and Idaho.
