Richard R Gallegos, 71, of Denver, CO, passed away on January 18, 2022. Richard was born in Las Vegas, NM on February 23, 1950, to Max Gallegos and Adela Armijo. He grew up with 3 siblings, Louie, David and Gloria. As a teen, he loved spending his time with family, working on cars, hunting and fishing. He attended West High School in Denver, CO, and enlisted in the United States Army on August 29, 1969. He served overseas in Japan until his honorable discharge on March 3, 1972. He then served in the Army Reserves until August 28, 1975. He met Beverly in 1965 on a blind date. The relationship blossomed and they welcomed their first son David in October of 1968. They married on January 30, 1970. They welcomed their second child Gabriel in June of 1979, a daughter Kim in June of 1980 and a daughter Renee in September of 1981. As a family they loved camping, fishing, and traveling to New Mexico to visit family. Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to Richard and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family. In addition to his wife Beverly and his children David (Melissa) Gallegos, Gabriel Gallegos, Kim (Sean) Sanders, Renee (Vicky) Armijo Gallegos is survived by his grandchildren, Tyler, Uriah, Bryan, Brianna, Landin, Avery, Brayden, Raymond, Danny, DeRay, Sebastian, Nazaria and one great granddaughter Marilyn.
