Richard William Guthrie, age 85, of Venice, Florida, passed away on August 14, 2008. He was born on October 31, 1922 in Summerville, Pennsylvania. He was an insurance salesman for Prudential Life Insurance Company and a veteran of the US Army. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Martha; son, Mark Guthrie of Lititz, Pennsylvania; daughter, Madonna Murray of Meshoppen, Pennsylvania; sister, Shirley Guthrie of Pennsylvania and a brother, Kenneth Guthrie of Hawthorn, Pennsylvania. He also leaves behind four grandchildren. There are no services planned at this time. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
