Richard Freeman Hathaway

Richard Freeman Hathaway, 87, living in Denver, Colorado, and former resident of Colorado Springs, was born in Limestone, Maine, June 27, 1934, and passed away December 29, 2021, of chronic medical issues. Richard served in the U. S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956 during the Korean War. He graduated from Lincoln Christian College and received a Master's Degree from the University of Illinois in Library Science. He served in various librarian positions over the years at the following Christian colleges: Lincoln Christian, Dallas Christian, Nebraska Christian, and Manhattan Christian College. After retirement he moved out west to Denver/Colorado Springs to be closer to his daughters. He served for ten years in his community and church down in South Colorado Springs and touched so many lives. Richard was a true man of integrity, hard work, kind and respectful. Most of all he was a Christ Follower and that was his passion for life! He left a stamp on so many, and we are grateful for his life!He is survived by his two daughters, Julienne Lynnee (Hathaway) Yerich, and Jenny Renee Hathaway; in addition to his two grandsons, Benjamin Jacob Yerich, and Lucas Eli Yerich.
