Richard "Rick" Dean Kuhlman
June 3rd, 1968 - August 17th, 2024
Richard Dean Kuhlman of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on August 17, 2024 in his sleep, peacefully in his home.
He was born on June 3, 1968 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Sue and Leonard Glaze.
Rick went to high school in Cañon City, Colorado at Cañon City High and graduated in 1986. He went on to join the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, and served on the USS Carl Vinson. From there he rough-necked on oil rigs off the shore of California. He then went to work for Walmart so he could be home more with his family, which was his biggest accomplishment. His two sons, Michael and Travis, are what he was most proud of in life!
Rick was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 1999 and moved from California back to Colorado in 2000.
Rick enjoyed music, and he loved to play video games, especially with his two boys. He loved football, and was one of the Denver Broncos biggest fans. He wore that loud and proud every day of his life, whether they were winning or losing. Rick also had a massive love for animals all the way from childhood to the day he died. His animals were his loyal companions. Precious, Scooby, Scrappy, and Marshmallow will miss their Daddy so much!
Words from Loved Ones:
Ricky and I spent a lot of time together, we were always looking for things to do and on most days that meant some level of mischief would be at hand. We were always looking for trouble, even if that's not what we called it. Ricky had a very active mind, he was always thinking about his next move. If you wanted to keep up with him you almost had to read his mind, and that could be a slippery slope! One thing that was for certain when I was with Rick I was happy most of the time. He had a way of understanding me and I him, and I really think that that's why Rick and I got on so well. We got in a lot of trouble and got caught some. We had a ton of fun and I will never forget a moment of any it. Rick you were loved in your life and you will never be forgotten. I love you and I will miss you.
