Richard Daniel Orcutt
August 25th, 1945 - February 12th, 2024
Richard Daniel Orcutt passed away peacefully on February 12, 2024. He was 78 years old. He was born in Newark, New Jersey, to parents Harold and Ida (Nagy) Orcutt. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He was a foster dad to numerous children. He enjoyed his career in trucking for over thirty years. Richard also was on a bowling team and loved golf over everything. Notably, he bowled a perfect 300 bowling, as well as a perfect hole in one golf game. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lillian Orcutt; brother, Harold Orcutt; sister, Gay Miele; son, Richard Orcutt Jr. He is survived by brother, Ronald Orcutt (Judi); daughters, Kyra Byrd (Robert) and Sherri Gzemski (Charles); grandchildren, Brian and Matthew Gzemski, Mercedes and Savannah Byrd; and many friends. A private service will be held by the family.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
