Richard Duane Sutton, age 80, died in Centennial Colorado on Tuesday, June 20th, 2017. Born May 2nd, 1937 in New Milford, Pennsylvania to Eva and Gaylord Sutton, he graduated Blue Ridge High School in 1955, then enlisted in the United States Air Force. His tour of duty included 3 years assigned to Sembach Air Base located near Kaiserslautern, Germany. In 1961, Richard graduated from the State University of New York in Canton with a degree in Technical Electronics. On July 1, 1961, he married Judith Anne Webb, and later that year was hired by Sandia Corporation. The newly married couple then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1965, Richard received a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico, and was hired by IBM. He then moved to Denver, Colorado and worked for IBM until his retirement in 1992. Richard is survived by his wife Judith Sutton, his daughter Laurie Lehmann (Tom), his son Keith Sutton (Janet), his sister Joyce Bailey (Lynn), and his brother Maurice (Myra). He has two grandchildren, Amanda and Zachary Lehmann. He was preceded in death by his brother Raymond Sutton.
