Robert A. Ballou, age 90, of Englewood, Florida, passed away on April 25, 2008. He was born on March 6, 1918 in North Dighton, Massachusetts. He was a marketing representative for Getty Oil Company in Maine and a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He moved to Englewood, Florida in 1980 from Lewiston, Maine and he attended the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Englewood, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Fern; children, Teri F. Bryant of E. Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Robert A. (Gina)Ballou, Jr. of Greenwood, Maine; sister, Jean Ballou of Winthrop, Maine; five granddaughters, two great-grandsons and two step-grandsons. A memorial service will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, April 28, 2008 at the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Englewood. Burial will be later in Maine. Memorial donations may be made to the First Church of Christ, Scientist, P.O. Box 747, Englewood, Florida 34295. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida is handling the arrangements.
