Robert ""Rob"" J. Carpenter Jr., of Venice FL, left this world too soon on December 16, 2018. A beloved father, son, brother, nephew and friend of many, he will be dearly missed and will always be in our hearts. He was a gentle and artistic man with a big heart and a great love for the gulf coast, its fishing, scuba diving, botany, beautiful beaches, sunsets and the many friends who touched him there. Born in Bridgeport, CT on April 15, 1983, he is the son of Lisa Carpenter of Meriden, CT and the late Robert J. Carpenter Sr. He is the beloved father of beautiful twins, Eli and Georgia of North Port, FL. He also leaves behind his sisters Nicole Weglarz of Delaware and Amanda Carpenter of Meriden, CT, his girlfriend Stacy Carroll of North Port, FL, his Aunts Laurie (Dan Sears) Carpenter of Orange, CT, Barbara Lucas of Trumbull, CT, Kathleen Weglarz of Monroe, GA and Deborah Santos of Delaware, his Uncles Lawrence Carpenter of Anaheim, CA and William Carpenter of Bridgeport, CT, two nieces and several cousins. He is also predeceased by his grandparents, Robert L. and Mary Barbara Carpenter and Edward and Marcia Weglarz. A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Wednesday evening, December 19th from 5pm to 8pm at Farley Funeral Home, 265 S. Nokomis Ave., Venice, Florida 34285. A funeral service will be held at Farley Funeral Home on Friday, December 21st, at 10am with interment immediately following at Venice Memorial Gardens, 1950 Center Road, Venice, Florida, 34292. Donations may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Tidewell Hospice at tidewellhospice.org or The American Cancer Society.
