Robert "Bob" D. Chapman

Robert D. Chapman (Bob), age 90, of Venice, FL, passed away on May 2, 2023. He was born to David and Catherine Chapman in Paterson, NJ on December 29, 1932. Bob graduated from Central High School in Paterson, NJ and joined the Air Force and was stationed overseas in Japan. While in the Air Force he studied electronics and continued working in the industry following his discharge. He retired as the East Coast General Sales Manager for Alcatel. Bob served as a volunteer fireman and was past presidents of both the Erskine Lakes Fire Department and the Sussex Kiwanis Club in NJ. He was also active in the Coast Guard Auxiliary here in Florida. Bob was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. Surviving family members include his wife of 66 years, Barbara; his brother David of Delaware; daughter Kim Dolan (Greg) of Sydney, Australia; and his five grandchildren Matthew, Leanne, Michael, Courtney and Morgan. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kathy Rozanski and sons Robert David Chapman, Jr. and Todd Robert Chapman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Thursday, May 11th at 10 AM. Burial will be private.
