Robert M. Erwin, age 72, of Venice, FL died on October 27, 2015. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on December 13, 1942 to Hugh and Mary Erwin, and came to Venice from St. Clairsville, Ohio in 2008. Bob worked in the public school system as a reading specialist, counselor, and principal. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Venice. Bob enjoyed fishing at the Venice Pier, eating out, and going to the movies and theater. At the time he passed, he was working on an autobiography to share his life experiences. Bob was a US Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, or Venice; sons Hugh M. of Pittsburgh, PA and John P. of St. Clairsville, OH; grandchildren Eric, Alex and Sarah; brothers William and James; sister Dr. Cathy Conner; and mother Mary Parr Erwin. Services will be held in St. Clairsville and Venice at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Christ United Methodist Church in Venice.
