Robert Fields
March 22nd, 1939 - August 11th, 2018
Mr. Robert L. Fields, Sr., 79, entered into eternal rest on August 11, 2018. A longtime resident of Fountain, Colorado, he was born the fourth of eight children on March 22, 1939 to Mrs. Rosa B. Harris Fields and Mr. Ernest L. Fields in Church Road, Virginia. After graduating from Southside High School in 1958, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. While proudly serving his country, he earned the rank of Sergeant First Class before his retirement in 1978. He later returned to the workforce as a Federal employee where he worked for 18 years, including at the Fort Carson Colorado Golf Course, before permanently retiring. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Marcus Fields. Loving memories of him are cherished by his wife Betty Fields of Fountain; his daughter Cynthia Fields Cunningham (son-in-law Kenneth) of Littleton, CO; son Robert L. Fields, Jr. of Lakewood, CO; son Michael Fields (daughter-in-law Kathy) of Pueblo, CO; daughter Annette Johnson (San Antonio, TX), granddaughters Destiny Johnson (Denver, CO) and Marisa and Tiara Raymond (Aurora, CO); grandson Jorden Fields (Pueblo, CO); six brothers and sisters and their spouses, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We do not lose the ones we love They only go before Where there is everlasting life, Where sorrow is no more. For the soul will always live And peace is everywhere. We do not lose the ones we love, God takes them in his care. Please arrive only 5-10 minutes prior to the start of the service.
