Robert James Leaf passed away peacefully on January 17th of 2016. He was born in Ilwaco, Washington and spent some time in California before settling in Florida. He dutifully served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a proud member of the local union in Tampa for over 20 years as a crane operator. He enjoyed fishing, working on his cars and spending quality time with friends and family. He will be remembered for his personality, humor and his big heart. He’s deeply missed and forever loved. He was predeceased by his late wife Nancy Ferrara, mother Evelyn, siblings Marcy and Bill. Survived by his children, Jessica Leaf of North Port, Stephanie Shoemaker of Sarasota, and Daniel Leaf of PA and stepchildren Jeffrey and Michael Shoemaker also of PA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America. www.pva.org.
