Mementos

Robert D. Leonard was a good husband, father, Poppy, son, brother and friend. He passed away on September 8, 2024 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born on July 7, 1955 to Edward Leonard and Barbara Throop in Ashtabula, Ohio.

He enjoyed the years he spent as a physician recruiter, and he was a life long fan of the Cleveland Browns. He delighted in learning about different cultures and he never said no to trying various cuisine. His passion for politics matched his love for tennis and biking. Reading about wine reviews, listening to several favorite podcasts and 70’s - 90’s music also occupied his time. He was a funny guy who did not deny his emotions and sensitivity. He will surely be missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Edward.

He is survived by his wife, M. Irma; children Alex, Alvin, Aaron and Ara; in-laws Lea and Jason; grand daughters Aiva and Lara; mother, Barbara Horst; sisters Jayne Nelson, Carole (Tim) Truesdell and Kelley (Mike) Louden; nieces and nephews.

He was cremated, and a celebration of life memorial will be attended by family members later.
