Robert "Bob" Paul McHenry
February 13th, 1928 - March 10th, 2024
Robert “Bob” Paul McHenry age 96 of Venice, FL and Williamston, MI passed away at his Venice residence on March 10, 2024. Bob was born in Portland, ME on February 13, 1928. Bob served honorably in the Navy during WWII after leaving the military he pursued a career in sales for over 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion and the Loyal Order of Moose. Bob also enjoyed being a “snowbird” in Venice with his wife Louise, a tradition that they kept up for almost 40 years. Bob will be remembered most for how he cared for his wife, family, and friends. Bob is preceded in death by his beloved brothers-in-law Wayne Casler, Jim Rantanen, and Jack Casler. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 74 years whom he loved and cared for deeply Louise; daughters Linda (Jerry) Miazga, Kathy (Pat, deceased) Hall; three sisters, Mary, Donna and Sadie. Bob also leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A Graveside service with military honors will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 10:00AM. A Celebration of Life to be held later in the summer of 2024. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Tidewell Hospice at https://tidewellfoundation.org/donate/ or a veteran’s organization of your choice.
