Robert "Bob" Thomas McSweeney

Bob was born on December 18, 1944, in Oak Park, IL. He was a beloved father and brother, survived by his daughter, Thea Goodman, and sister, Mary Thuemling. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothea McSweeney, and father, Robert McSweeney. Bob attended Oak Park River Forest High School and went on to pursue higher education at Marquette University. He had a successful career as a staff scientist and senior technical specialist at Osram Sylvania and as a senior materials development engineer at GTE. He treasured the many close friendships he had throughout his career. In his free time, Bob enjoyed racquetball, playing the guitar, bike rides along the Pinellas trail, and meeting up with a group of regulars for weekly team trivia. Those closest to Bob often received a CD as a gift with a mix of new favorite music he couldn’t wait to share. He had a vibrant personality and was known for his sense of humor, kindness, and outgoing nature. A Memorial Lunch will be held in Bob's honor at the Bucyrus Club on December 2nd from 11 am to 2 pm (1919 12th Ave, South Milwaukee, WI 53172).
