Robert Allen Richards

Robert Allen Richards, 63, of Caon City, Colorado passed away at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born June 28, 1957 in Sedalia, Missouri to Howard Richards and Mabel and Maurice Williams. Robert attended First Baptist Church in Clinton, Missouri. He attended high school in Calhoun and Clinton, Missouri. After school, he joined the Navy and spent most of his time on an aircraft carrier. He was a Master Mechanic for many years. He enjoyed collecting car parts, tools, and electronics. You could always find him tinkering in the garage listening to his music. Robert had a heart of gold and would help anybody he thought he could help before his own needs. He was loyal to his friends and enjoyed spending leisure time with Cecil at his shop, Caon City Gun and Pawn. In 2012, Robert left Missouri and moved to Colorado to fulfill his dreams and to be closer to the mountains. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard, Mabel and Maurice; brother, Rodger; and sister, Sharon.Robert is survived by his children, Sonya (Brian) Hornback of Chilhowee, Missouri, and Christopher (Susan) Richards of Caon City, Colorado; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Richards of Garden City, Missouri; sisters, Melody Brooks of Lawson, Missouri, Cherri Wilson of Fortuna, Missouri, and Maurica Williams of Sedalia.Condolences may be sent to The Springs Funeral Services on behalf of the family at 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909 or on Robert's Tribute Wall at tsfs.co
