Robert “Bob” Swope, 82, passed away August 16, 2016. He was born on December 24, 1933 in Robertsdale, Pennsylvania to the late Delbert Swope and Winfred Fick Swope. He was the husband to the late Joyce Swope. He is survived by 6 brothers (Walter Swope, John Swope, Chester Swope, and 2 deceased, Delbert Swope JR and William Swope), 2 sisters (Alice Fischer and Ada Miller), 4 daughters (Linda Dwebi, Deborah Robbins, Kimberly Tcheng, and Allison Swope), 9 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He served 21 years in the United States Air Force, earning a military honor of United States Air Force Honor Guard, as well as, a Vietnam War Veteran. Bob loved to play Bingo on his spare time with his friends and was a huge sports fan, Pittsburgh Steelers being his favorite. In his early days, he loved traveling back to Pennsylvania to visit his family and he enjoyed going to the car races. Bob was a very hard working, tough loving man, with a huge heart. He was a devoted husband to his wife for 59 years and a father that always had open arms to his 4 daughters. Bob, known as Pappy to his grandchildren/great-grandchildren, would always pick on the kids but they all knew it was just “Pappy’s” type of love. Robert “Bob” Swope will be greatly missed for his loving, ornery ways of making someone smile.
