August 10th, 1967 - March 27th, 2018
A Homegoing service for Robin G. Howard, 50, of Gaston, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC. Pastor Steven Little will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, 1959 Woodtrail Drive, Gaston, SC 29053. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Saturday, March 31, 2018, prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Howard passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Born in Gaston, she was a daughter of the late Gayle Crout Gleaton, and Cleo S. Gleaton. Robin was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and aunt who loved her family, and courageously fought both diabetes and the effects of a stroke for many years. Robin had been confined to several nursing and rehabilitation facilities for several years. She was a loving and giving person, who looked forward to visits from family and friends. Robin is survived by her father; her husband of 30 years, Donnie Howard; sons, Adam Gleaton, Zachary Howard (Kristen), Justin Howard, Mitchell Howard; sister, Velvet Lucas (Roger) of Swansea; aunt, Deborah Koochagian (Joe); uncle, J.W. Gleaton (Linda) of Columbia; nieces, Ashton Bailey, Raygan Davis; nephew, Colby Lucas; faithful visitors, Mary Clegg, and loving cousins, Patricia Robertson, Missy Hailey and Cheryl Craig. In addition to her mother, Robin was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents, Grady and Gaina Crout, and Oscar and Mae Gleaton.
