Rodolfo "Rudy" Chavez Silva
March 8th, 1982 - February 20th, 2020
Rodolfo Chavez Silva, known to many as "Rudy," passed away February 20, 2020. He was born on March 8, 1982 in Denver, Colorado to Johnny and Maria (Silva) Chavez. He is preceded in death by his father Johnny and his brother Tony. Rudy is survived by his mother, Maria Silva Chavez; wife, Nury Mejia Chavez; children, one son, two daughters and three step daughters; siblings, two sisters, three sister-in-law's and four brothers. He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Rudy did it all from construction, landscaping, auto mechanics, and the occasional nunchucks and opening a can of whoop ass, however, nothing ever compared to the art he crafted. Aside from being a well-regarded and talented tattoo artist and barber; he was also an inspiration to many empowering them to own and share their stories through the expression of art. Despite obstacle after obstacle Rudy lived with a sense of gratitude motivated by family and friends. We will forever remember his beautiful smile, gentle eyes, caring heart, loving embrace and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in heaven watching over us. A visitation & viewing will be held Thursday, March 5 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Romero Family Funeral Home - Lakewood. Mass will take place the next day Friday, March 6 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at Ascension Catholic Parish followed by his burial at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery.
