Roger Greig

Roger K. Greig, 73, passed away on February 16, 2022, in Englewood, FL. He was born on July 19, 1948, in Paterson, NJ to Alfred and Elizabeth Greig. Roger married his wife Rita Dersch in 1968. Roger worked at his family’s business, Greig and Sons, in Totowa Borough, NJ and later bought the business from his father Alfred so he could retire to Florida. He and Rita relocated to Sarasota in 1983 where Roger and Rita opened a couple of businesses and in 2005 Roger became a realtor. In 2010 Roger became a Broker for Sarasota Realty Associates. Roger was a member and a previous exalted ruler of the Elk’s Lodge of Venice and Englewood. He also enjoyed trips to Disney World with his family, boating, and fishing. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Elizabeth Greig. Roger is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rita Greig, son Michael (Wendy) Greig, daughter Rita Greig, grandchildren Christina Greig, Lauren (Nik) Greig, Steven Greig, Jessica Greig, and many friends and family. A visitation will be held at Farley Funeral Home, 265 South Nokomis Avenue, Venice, FL 34285, on Saturday March 5, 2022, from 1PM to 4PM.
