Roger J. Hasselman, 64, of North Port, Florida, formerly of Bristol, Connecticut passed away October 11, 2015. Roger was born May 20, 1951 in New Brunswick Canada, son of Marie and Arthur J. Hasselman. Roger was a loving father and grandfather. After living in Connecticut for most of his life, Roger moved to Florida to be closer to his daughter and three granddaughters. He really enjoyed his time with them cheering them on as they did what they love. Roger enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage. He also enjoyed playing darts, bowling, fishing, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. Roger was a generous man who was always there to help others, never asking for anything in return. He will be greatly missed, heaven gained a beautiful angel. Roger leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law Tanya and AJ Beaulieu, granddaughters Jasmine, Ciera, and Kaylie Beaulieu, sister Diane Higgins, brother Gerald Hasselman and his wife Nancy, nieces and nephews Jennifer, Ryan, Nathan, and Leah McCormick, as well as his beloved ex-wife Paula Hasselman. He was predeceased by his father Arthur J. Hasselman, sister Annette Hasselman, nephew Brian Hasselman, and brother-in-law Fred Higgins. A burial service will be held in East Hampton, Connecticut on October 24, 2015 surrounded by family and friends.
