Ronald William Skinner passed away on Monday, October 22nd, 2012 after suffering from cancer. He was born on January 31, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri to Emmet J. and Lillian J. Skinner. Ron enjoyed life to the fullest and brought happiness to everyone around him. Ron had an infectious smile and laugh. Anyone who listened to Ron would be uplifted by his charismatic personality. Ron graduated in 1965 from Wasson High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Following graduation, Ron attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins prior to enlisting in the Navy. He dutifully served his nation for four years and was stationed at Norfolk, Virginia on the U.S.S. Orion. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he returned to CSU, graduating with a degree in political science. While going through college, Ron worked as a Grayhound bus driver. After graduation, Ron pursued a career as an agent for Farmers’ insurance company. He worked for Farmers for 20 years. Ron also worked as a professional bus driver, real estate appraiser and was an entrepreneur. He started his own ink and toner business as well as the Old Goat delivery service, gaining notoriety and distinguished awards for his impeccable and memorable customer service. Ron is survived by his mother, Lillian Skinner, his two sisters, Joan Courtier and Vickie Theler, his daughter Kassi Nease (Bret), his son Matthew Skinner (Jennifer), and his four grandchildren Michael, Jacob, Garrett, and Payton. Ron was a good hearted man who will be dearly missed by all.
