Ronald Stratton, 81, of Denver, CO, passed away on January 29, 2023. Ronald was born in Kalispel, MT on April 1, 1941, to Eugene D Stratton and Mildred Lance. He grew up with 4 siblings, Sharon, Laurel, Rick, and Jay. As a teen, he loved spending time with his family, fishing, playing sports and working on cars. He attended Columbia Falls High School, graduating in 1960. He moved to Denver in 1961 to attend technical school. Ron met his wife, Bobbie, of 59 years in 1961 while working together at a local greeting card company and were married on May 4, 1963. In 1963 he started working for Pepsi Cola Bottling Co in Denver and would retire in 2003 after almost 40 years of service. In 1966 Ron was drafted by the US Army, attended basic training in Colorado Springs, CO Fort Carson, special training in Missouri, receiving a National Defense Service Medal. His title was Track/Vehicle Mechanic. Ron was discharged in January 1968 from active service, and spent two years in the Army Reserves, honorably discharged in January of 1972. In October 1968, they welcomed their first daughter Kimberley Ann, followed by Melissa Marie in August of 1970. As a family they loved to go camping all over Colorado. Ron thoroughly enjoyed watching his daughters in all their sport activities. He was a devoted father and grandfather. His grandkids were his pride and joy, traveling through several states watching numerous softball and football games. No distance was too far for him when it came to cheering on his grandchildren. Being a kind and generous father was of the utmost importance to Ron, he certainly did not disappoint when it came to unconditionally loving his family. In addition to his wife Bobbie and his children, Kim (Ed) Espinoza, Melissa (David) Gallegos, he is survived by his grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley (Zach), Bryan and Jessica (Conner), and great grandson, Lucas, sister Sharon (Jim) Paul and Jay (Daymien) Stratton.
