Rosie Campbell Finley, 90, of West Columbia passed away on October 6, 2017. Rosie was born in Donalds on September 9, 1927 to William and Beula Campbell. Rosie was the wife of the late James "Jimmy" E. Finley. Rosie was a stay at home Mom for many years. Rosie loved being with family and friends. She enjoyed planting a garden, cooking, and sewing. She was asked by a friend if she would like to substitute in the cafeteria at Springdale Elementary School - she did and retired in 1990 with 20 years of service. She also assisted her good friend Annie Pearl Johnson prepare Wednesday night meals at Holland Avenue Baptist Church in West Columbia. Rosie cared for James many years with love and compassion at home until his passing in 1997. Rosie was a long time member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church in West Columbia and the Wesley Fellowship SS Class. Our family will miss her dearly but we know she is with her heavenly family and she is at peace. The family would like to express a very special thank you to the members of The Wesley Fellowship SS Class for their calls, prayers, and cards through-out the last eight years. Also to the many members of the church who participate in the Flower Ministry at the church- the flowers brought her joy.

Greenlawn Memorial Park

Greenlawn Memorial Park

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
