Roy Ranford Forbes, 73 of North Port, Florida passed away February 23, 2007. He was born June 9, 1933 in Waterloo, Jamaica. Mr. Forbes moved to North Port in 1997 from Bronx, New York. He worked for the maintenance and housekeeping department at the Montefiore Hospital Medical Center for 28 years until his retirement in 1996. He is survived by his wife Daphnie, three sons, Lloyd of Queens, New York, Paul of Bronx, New York, and Martel of Jamaica, West Indies, one daughter Cheryl Forbes-Roberts of Bronx, New York, four sisters, four brothers, nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild. A visitation will be held for Mr. Forbes on Friday, March 2, 2007 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the North Port Seventh Day Adventist Church, with a Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the North Port Seventh Day Adventist Church, 4330 Biscayne Drive South, North Port, Florida 34287.
