Roy W. Hain

Age 89, of West Saint Paul, MN Passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, February 19, 2018. Roy was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1928 but lived much of his life in Saint Paul, MN. He is preceded in death by his wife Rosemary (nee Brault), parents Harry and Mabel Hain (nee Ransen), twin brother Robert Hain and grandson Jayden Roy. Survived by children Colleen Haase (Jim), Kathleen Hanson (Brad), Renee Lislegard (Richard), Michael (Emily); grandchildren Justin, Jodi, Eric, Emily, Nathan, Daniel, Kevin, Molly, Chelsea and Courtney and 10 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Bonnie Hain; special friends Jack and Lois Hinderscheid; many other family and friends. A graduate of Monroe High School class of 1946. Roy was very proud of his service in the Army and was happy to talk about it in his later years. Roy had a long career at Sperry Univac /Unisys and was able to enjoy an early retirement traveling with Rosemary. Roy stayed very active golfing as often as he could and when off the golf course, he was off on a walk, spending time at the lake, puttering in the garage and around the house or his favorite - spending time with his kids and grandchildren. Roy was ready to meet his Lord and recently stated that he had a Good Long Life. Visitation Sunday, Feb. 25 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM Monday, February 26, 2018 at Holy Spirit Church, 515 S Albert St., St Paul MN. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
