Services for Roy Albert Hudson, North Port, Florida, formerly of Jamaica, West Indies and Bronx, New York, a retired lab technician, will be at 11:00 am Saturday, September 24, in North Port, Florida at St. Nathaniel’s Episcopal Church. The Wake will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on September 23 in Farley Funeral Home. He died on September 20, 2011. He was a loving and respected husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He dedicated his life in helping people, providing for his family, being kind to others, install values, and giving good advice when we all need it most. He was a dedicated lab technician at Miles Laboratory, located in West Haven, Ct for 30 years. He loved to travel and when his family came to visit him, he loved them dearly. Survivors: wife, Evelyn A. Hudson, daughter, Sandra J. Robinson, step daughter, Sonia McKenzie, grandchildren, Nicole Duckett and Korine Robinson, two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. He lived a good life, a quiet and gentle man, a positive role model for all, a man to look up to, and a man who is respected, and will be missed by all.
