Rudolph Ernest Gallegos Sr., 65, of Denver Colorado went to Heaven on August 19, 2011. He was born to Felix Filiberto Gallegos (deceased) and Mable Maria (Lopez). He loved his family and would show his affections in various ways but mostly by playful teasing and joking with the ones he loved. He was patriarchal leader amongst family members and friends, and he was looked up to by his children, grandchildren, younger siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Rudolph was an avid fisherman who loved to spend a relaxing day alone by the lake or teaching others how to fish. His love for fishing would sometimes cause him to be stern with others who were fishing with him and he was never shy about laying down the law when it came to proper fishing etiquette. He also enjoyed watching professional wrestling, sci-fi movies, playing lottery scratch tickets, bingo, cards, working on his vehicles, and collecting coins. He was intelligent as well as creative and enjoyed doing home improvements. Although he was very independent and often stubborn, he was always flirtatious when he was around women. Rudolph Ernest Gallegos was often referred to by those who knew him as “Ernie” and many of the people who loved him would bring him “Ernie” from Sesame Street dolls, puzzles, games, etc. This resulted in him owning a significant collection of items related to “Ernie” from Sesame Street and they are a display of the love and affection many people felt for him. Rudolph had a strong interest and appreciation for the military all of his life and he enjoyed watching movies with military themes. As a young man he enlisted and served in the U.S. Army, and he was Honorably Discharged in August 1967. He was loved by the following family members during his lifetime: Father -Felix (deceased), Mother – Mable, Step Father – Roger; Children – Rudy (deceased), Ruby, son-in-law David, Ernest (deceased), Antoinette, Rudolph Jr.; daughter-in-law, Dorinda, Grand Children – Renae, Georgette, Kimberly, Gabriella, Simon, Jacob, Jeremy, Celiy, Sammie, Janessa, Nieisha, Francesca, Selena, Adrianna, Anastasia, Rudolph; Several Great Grand children; Siblings – Angie, Connie, Rama, Patricia, Roger, Michael, Albert, Gilbert; Sisters In Law – Kathy, Liz, Dawn; Brother in law – Phil; 18 Nephews and Nieces; 31 Great Nephews and Nieces; Many more family members and friends.
