Ruperto Toledo Germanelo December 12, 1929 ~ November 13, 2013 ILOILO CITY, PHILIPPINES - Ruperto T Germanelo, 83, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at The Medical City Iloilo, in the Province of Molo, Iloilo City, Philippines. He was born in Oton, Philippines in 1929 and served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years. After marrying Flordeliza Javellana, they traveled through Europe and lived in Germany for many years and established their lives in Monterey, CA. He was a loyal civil service employee until his retirement in the mid 90's. Ruperto enjoyed fishing, was the master of fixing broken things and performing home improvements. After he moved to the Philippines and remarried in 2010, he mostly enjoyed gardening. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Flordeliza Javellana Germanelo; parents, Nicholas and Delores Germanelo and sister, Rene Macabebe. He is survived by his second wife, Nerissa Terania Germanelo; his children, Gerald Germanelo, Leo Germanelo (Monika Parzych) and Joy Marie Germanelo (Romeo Rivera); grandchildren, Robert Germanelo (Kayla), Selene Germanelo and Mason Germanelo; and brother, Felipe Germanelo, and many cousins, nieces and nephews in Oton, Philippines. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 3:00 pm-8:00 p.m. at the Mission Memorial Park & Seaside Funeral Home, 1915 Ord Grove, Seaside. Vigil and funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, 11:00 am at Seaside Funeral Home.

Mission Memorial Park
For almost 100 years, our cemetery has served the residents of the Monterey Bay Area. Mission Memorial Park opened in 1934 as Mission Memorial Cemetery and for many years was run by the City of Monterey. In 1988, Monterey Peninsula Mortuary opened on the grounds of our beautiful Seaside location. In 2007 we closed our Chapel of Seaside at our Noche Buena location and merged the two to become Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park....
