Russell Shambeau, Sr., 92, of Two Rivers, Wisconsin and Clermont, Florida, passed away peacefully at his Florida home on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. He was born on April 9, 1924 to Walter and Helma Shambeau in Two Rivers and has been a part time Florida resident since 1965. While farming in Wisconsin, Russ started a chain saw business in his basement that he grew into one of the most successful lawn, garden and RV businesses in the state. He was national chain saw champion in 1961. Russ was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers, especially quarterback Brett Favre who was his favorite. He and his late wife Catherine shared a love of worldwide travel that took them to six continents. He also loved gardening and fishing. Russ is survived by two daughters Peggy Crull and husband Dennis, and Cathy Wick and husband Ron, sons Russell Shambeau, Jr. and wife Bonnie, and Peter Shambeau, three grandchildren Russell III, Elisa, and Charles, six great grandchildren Joshua, Greta, Xander, George, Cora, and Cole, his sisters Helen Kohlmeier and Ruth Guetschow and husband Wally, a brother Glen and wife Bev, a sister-in-law Audrey Shambeau. Brother-in-laws Robert Beitzel, Claude Beitzel, Roland (Gloria) Beitzel and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-five years Catherine in 2010, daughter-in-law Michele, brother Allan, brother-in-law Paul Kohlmeier and an infant grandson. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January, 14, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at Crown of Glory Lutheran Church in Orlando with Pastor James Schumann officiating. Entombment will be made with Catherine at the Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc.
